Proposed topics to be covered by this special issue are:

  • Geotechnical properties of natural soils, rocks, and their mixtures. This also to include manufactured and recycled geomaterials.
  • Performance of compacted and stabilized geomaterials used as roadway, railway and airway paving materials.
  • Geomaterials characterization for the sustainable design and construction of pavement structures.
  • Geomaterials stabilization using cement, lime, fly ash, polymers and other stabilizers for improved performance.
  • Geosynthetics, geogrid and state-of-the-art reinforcement techniques for the multi-layer carrying systems of different transportation modes.
  • Ground improvement, slope stability and embankment for transportation infrastructures.
  • Compaction technology and management
